Baptism Miracles

We were able to work hard and our investigator got baptized this week!! It was a great service and she really felt the spirit! It was great to have a ward mission leader take the time to schedule a meeting with us so that we could really prepare her for baptism.  The ward mission leader and I sang 'Baptism' one of the songs in the children's hymn book and it was just awesome! We were also blessed to have a girl who was baptized in December, bring her mom to the baptismal service.  Also, an investigator that hasn't answered his phone for a month, finally picked up and after an hour long lesson on the tree of life, he is going to hopefully be baptized at the end of this month. We are seeing a lot of great miracles.  I love our new mission president he is the man for the job and wow he is just so so so great!!!!

His work is marching on.

Korea Seoul South Mission

Welcome to the Korea Seoul South Mission!

We are thrilled to serve in Korea with your missionary. The work here is moving forward as our elders and sisters diligently serve the Lord. Thank you for your support and prayers in their behalf. We have attached a picture taken yesterday at our Meet the President event.  Elder Kim, the Area Seventy for our mission, was present as we introduced ourselves.

We have a love for the Korean people and desire the word of the Lord to go forth throughout the land. As our missionaries study, pray, and follow the mission standards, the work will progress, many lives will be changed, and the gospel of Jesus Christ will be spread far and wide. What a wonderful time it is to be serving in Korea!

Sincerely,

President and Sister Morrise

Join Me In Reading The Book of Mormon

My week has been good.  I had a lot of things that needed to get done.  We had a lot of conferences and meetings this week since our mission is splitting, but it was good. Our mission split on Saturday.  We will be meeting our new mission president tomorrow.

Our ward had a big barbecue and 10 nonmembers came which was so great!  I love my companion; he is amazing and is 10 times better at being a missionary than I am.  Unfortunately, I am a believer that some of the rules prevent me from doing missionary work, whereas he is a very strict guy and a great example to me.

Everyone has been saying, I’m "going 'soft' in a leadership way," I will take that as a compliment as I know it is true.  I would hope that I have become less prideful and more humble.

The two youth we have been teaching, for the last 3 months, were baptized this week and now the only other investigator we have is going to be getting baptized this Saturday!! We got to keep working hard and pursue the 10 nonmembers that attended the ward barbecue.

I have been focusing on studying the Book of Mormon, again.  I would like you all to join me and finish it, before I get home!

Be Someone’s Miracle,

The Plan of Salvation Sister Stucki Had Us Practice Every Sunday!

Hey everyone! Hope things are going good!!  Things this past week have been great!!  It has been hard lately seeing as we only have one investigator in the Korean ward and the rest of our investigators, go to the English branch.  As far as our most progressing investigator, the Lord has prepared him so much. I love teaching him.  I feel like I say that the Lord is proud of him more than anything else.  He is from France and he has such a big heart.  I wish I could be as committed as he is.  I taught him the plan of salvation yesterday with a member that he has a great friendship with and he has decided to get baptized. It was so great to see him look at the picture of the plan (the one that Sister Stucki had us practice every Sunday) and just hear him say wow this is great. I haven’t felt this happy for someone in a long time.  We have another investigator (the only Korean) and he really just needs friends. He also has decided to get baptized but because of his class schedule he hasn’t been able to come to church on Sunday yet.
This is the best place to be.  I'm so glad to be here in Korea.  Thank you for everything!
