Good Times!
Hey Guys!

This week was good. We did a lot of work but still with not much success.   Investigators are doing bad.  Although, we made over 200 new contacts this week.

I have been transferred to an area called Young Dong Po, aka the biggest church building in Asia.  I will be  working with Elder Breckwoldt from Germany.  I have not met Elder Brechwoldt as of yet, I will meet him on Wednesday.  We have been called as Zone Leaders. I am excited for the new challenge and grateful the faith that our Father in Heaven has in me.  I am excited to have Seocho in our zone (my first area).  I am excited for the new opportunities for growth.  I understand that it is a huge ward and there is a Costco in the area!

I am sad to leave Gyesan and it will be hard to leave.  I had to say all my goodbye’s yesterday at church.  Although it was tough, I was blessed with great ward members who helped me get through it!  This is Heavenly Fathers plan and I look forward to forging new relationships and friendships in Young-Dong-Po.

Be Someone’s Miracle.

if satan had a body, i would hug him right now!

hey so this week went ok.  to be honest it was absolutely so so so hard.  we contacted this whole week!! although, we taught 6 lessons on the street! everyone said they wanted to meet again but as soon as we called them the next day they had gone online and poof already disappeared.  as i read in my patriarchal blessing, it says 'there will be times of disappointment" and i don't know when it has given me such comfort.  i have started reading the book of mormon over again and i am reading it with my patriarchal blessing and it is super great! i love it! we also met a new family yesterday the father doesn't have any gospel interests but the daughter is golden!! love you guys and thanks for this opportunity! big shout out to satan for giving me trials and having people visit the internet so that i don't waste my time teaching people that aren't prepared!

PS.
"Missionaries are to write to their families each week and are also authorized to communicate by email with friends, priesthood leaders, and new converts.  Mission presidents should allow sufficient time on preparation day for missionaries to write emails and letters.  While in the mission field, missionaries should receive authorization from the mission president before entering into communication, including via email, with converts and others of the opposite gender within the mission boundaries (see Missionary Handbook, 36-37).  SO...PLEASE WRITE!

High Mountains = Faith

Things are going good!  We currently have 8 progressing investigators.  Although, we are having a hard time finding investigators!  We do door to door contact but it doesn’t work and Korean people don’t really just say hi to people on the street.

So, the baptismal date we had, the sister got to busy. But, we were able to meet her this week and talk. I’m not sure what the future holds for her.

We found out that one of our investigators church in order to become an elder you have to pay $30,000.  This made me really appreciate my calling.  An old investigator in Seocho got baptized and I am happy. All churches here do that. Most churches here are businesses.

I just thought i would share a spiritual thought. I have been talking a lot with Elder Smith about faith, so, I thought I would share what I have been sharing with him. Here in Korea we have a hard time speaking, so I thought I would share this.  Exodus 4:10, Moses 1 and 6:27-39.
High Mountains = Faith.

Both of these men had doubts and became two of the greatest prophets ever.  They doubted themselves but after climbing great mountains of faith they were able to see the Lord.

If we think about the potential we have, we can have all those same blessings!

I love this work.

Everyday a Holiday

hey guys the week was good.  our family of three is progressing and said they want to visit our church for a tour of the meetinghouse.  mom dad thanks for the package i got it this week just in time to send it with the ward on their ward picnic!  this week i made fried pickles for elder smith out of the pickles they give you when you order a pizza(its a korean thing) it wasn’t as good as the pickles in georgia but they were close. dad the bishop’s wife in seocho gave me some more snacks this is the 2nd time. maybe if you go to anaheim again soon or know anyone there that could take him some food that would be good. we got 2 new investigators this week but everything is still in the air with them. one of them is so funny and keeps saying "everyday a holiday", which i now say if anything goes wrong. i found this quote in personal study and want to share it.
'when we are unduly impatient with an omniscient Gods timing we are really suggesting that we know what’s best.  Strange isn’t it-we who wear wrist watches seek to counsel him who oversees cosmic clocks and calendars' maxwell.  with the changes going on in my life I know that God does have a plan for all of us!
